Bone Cement
Subiton is a brand of medical-grade bone cements used for bone cementation in orthopaedic and we offer superior bone cements that deliver the immediate mechanical stability required for confident long-term fixation. All Subition Bone Cements are self curing acrylic compounds of spontaneous solidification, necessary for prosthesis positioning and fixation to the live Bone. All of them are radio opaque (micro dispersed Barium Sulphate).
Subiton Bone Cements are available in four types: Two for Manual Application and two for syringe Application. Each type is available without antibiotic or with antibiotic Gentamycin Sulphate .
Antibiotic-loaded cements have been elaborated to achieve the following :
Long antibiotic release with maximum effectiveness during the first 15 days.
Remarkable concentration of antibiotic at cancellous and cortical bone.
Each dose is available in a blister with triple sterility protection of each element. Powder and successive packages are sterilized with ethylene oxide and the liquid by ultra filtration.
TYPES OF BONE CEMENT
- BONE CEMENT RO 40GMS
- BONE CEMENTS 40GMS LOW VISCOSITY
- BONE CEMENT WITH GENTAMYCIN 40GMS
- BONE CEMENT WITH GENTAMYCIN 40GMS LOW VISCOSCITY
SUBITON BONE CEMENT RO FOR MANUAL APPLICATION
Subiton cements for manual application have been designed to achieve the following:
- Easy mixing with fast homogeneity.
- Reach the dough state very fast.
- Adequate working time with soft dough and easy to apply.
- Short final hardening phase that reduces Prosthesis micromovement risks while waiting.
- Excellent mechanical properties.
- Homogeneous radio opacity.
- Excellent bone penetration.
SUBITON BONE CEMENTS WITH SYRINGE/GUN APPLICATION 40 gms
- Subiton Bone Cement for syringe application are less viscous and feature excellent flow properties. They were designed to achieve :
- Easy mixing with fast homogeneity.
- A long fluid stage with low viscosity enabling an easy syringe application.
- An ideal cement insertion that assures a reliable placement of the prosthesis resulting in an outstanding long term fixation.
- Adequate working time.
- Short final hardening phase that reduces prosthesis micro movement risks while waiting.
- Excellent mechanical properties.
- Cement insertion with syringe and gun is performed from the bottom of the bone cavity, avoiding the insertion of air, water, fat or blood into the cement dough by carrying them to the opening of the cavity.
With low viscosity period providing ideal fluidity for application with any well-known syringe and gun system.
SUBITON BONE CEMENT GENTAMYCIN G 40 gms:

SUBITON VTP
- cement for percutaneous vertebroplasties
- Subiton VTP cement has been specially designed for percutaneous vertebroplasties, with ideal working time, adequate viscosity and high opacity to X-rays.
- The elements were manufactured with non-toxic polymers and copolymers .
Advantages:
- Easy preparation and injection.
- Low viscosity.
- No need to add contrasting, dissolvent or retarding agents
- Constant working time.
- Unharmful exothermal reaction and mechanical properties.
- Enables exact control of injection with X-rays with less exposure of patient and medical staff.
Presentation
Subition VTP cement for Vertebroplasty is available in two types, inside a blister sterilized with ethylene oxide.
Direction for use:
- Fracture/ painfull collapse of vertebral body due to osteoporosis absence of analgesic response or inadequate response to the analgesic treatment.
- Painful vertebral fracture secondary to a benign or malignant tumor: hemangioma, myeloma or metastatic lesions.
- Painful vertebral fracture secondary to osteonecrosis (Kummel disease).
- Unstable fracture by compression with radiological evidence of movement at the wedge.
- Presurgical vertebral reinforcement: unstable patients, loss of substance or bone destruction secondary to osteoporosis or tumors.
- Patients with multiple vertebral collapses, with potential compromise of the respiratory function.
